ProMedia LLC announces the addition of Dave Werremeyer to its event staff as Technical and Communications Director for the NMRA, NMCA, and NMCA WEST event series.

Werremeyer comes to ProMedia after an extensive career at ProCharger, where he served as Motorsports Operations Coordinator for the past eight-years. He will begin his new position with ProMedia on December 24th, 2012.
“Hiring a guy like Dave W. is an investment in our future,” said Charlie Harmon, president of ProMedia Events. “We have a commitment to building and maintaining a competitive, balanced and fair racing programs across all of our racing divisions; adding Dave to the full-time staff, with his advanced technical background, will offer a fresh and qualified perspective,” Harmon stated.  “Dave has done an awesome job helping build a competitive program at ProCharger and we are elated to add him to the ProMedia team. His experience, and exceptional knowledge of our market, along with his vision and passion will combine to play a major role in maintaining a fair playing field for all three of our racing series,” Harmon concluded.
Werremeyer is excited about the opportunities his new position brings. “I have dealt with a lot of racing organizations over the years, and because of that I’m familiar with several different sets of rules, some of which are very limiting, while others are wide open. It was my job to know about all the combinations and power adders so I could work with the engineering staff at ProCharger and the racers.  From this we designed and implemented our supercharger systems for a wide variety of racing applications, which would conform to the rules and hopefully win. In order to do that, however, I needed to know what the other guys were running. I’m looking forward to putting that knowledge to work with the NMRA, NMCA, and NMCA WEST in the upcoming years,” Werremeyer added.
Despite helping develop and grow one of the most recognized supercharger brands in the world, Werremeyer’s racing roots are actually found in naturally-aspirated drag racing. “I love the sound a high-revving car running on motor alone makes. I have always respected the guys who build and race cars in any naturally-aspirated class,” he said. However, Werremeyer doesn’t limit his love of racing to the sidelines. Werremeyer’s a Chrysler fan, and has raced in several heads-up and bracket classes across the country.
“This has been long time coming for ProMedia,” Harmon added. “Dave’s knowledge of the finite details of different combinations, will really help us as we move forward with our rules packages, bringing forward a much needed dynamic to all three of our series, benefiting the organization long term,” Harmon concluded.
