The Ford Fiesta STs swept the podium at the Sylvania Silverstar zXe Global Rallycross at Bristol Motor Speedway. Toomas Heikkinen in the #57 OlsbergMSE Ford Fiesta ST took out fellow Fiesta drivers Ken Block (#43 Hoonigan Racing) and Brian Deegan (#38 OlsbergMSE) for first place.
Heikkinen proved unreachable when he held tight to the inside corner as Isachsen (Subaru) worked hard to catch him. Block quickly regained his second place spot after a rough first lap. Block, Deegan, Isachsen, and Sandell saw the finish line while Arpin, Foust, Timerzyanov, and Doran failed to finish due to damage. This would be the first time Tanner Foust failed to make the top six as he finished seventh during the main event. This would be Heikkinen’s third career victory, as well as his third consecutive win in a row. This is the third time this season that Ford swept up all podium spots during GRC, the other two races being X Games Brazil and New Hampshire.Ford is leading the manufacturer board with 186 points, next is Subaru with 61 points, and then Dodge is holding down third with 58 points.Hopefully Ford will prove to be number one again on August 4th for the X Games Los Angeles!
