The Amsoil GT is back in the shop and it's time to lose some weight!
This week the MM&FF team decided shed some weight and hop on a diet. It was definitely a big step for us, but we think it'll pay off in the end. But in all seriousness, we got to work on cutting some weight from our ’11 Amsoil GT. It's been sitting quietly for the past few months waiting for us to give it the next go around.
This past week we stripped the entire interior, including all the sound deadening, and got ready to install our S&W Race Cars 10-point rollcage. We previously had a 6-point rollbar installed. In previous form the car weighed in at 3,477 pounds. At our last track outing we mustered a few 9.80 passes. We were impressed with what it could do in full-weight trim, but now we are ready to find out its true potential.
