Today, with the proliferation of the chassis dyno, it seems that bragging about dyno numbers is just as important as running a quick e.t. Chassis dynos do however play an important role in tuning EFI cars and they are useful when doing magazine technical articles. And few know more about the “rollers” than “Dyno” Dan Hourigan of Dynojet. But Dyno Dan is not one to rest on dyno numbers alone, he is all about getting to the track to put the power to the pavement. In fact Dan recently took his ’08 GT500 to The Strip At Las Vegas (2,100-feet elevation) and ran 11.5 at 123 mph, which we thought was a great time considering the 500 is equipped with a TVS, 2.65 pulley, aftermarket mufflers and was run on the stock tires.
