If pre-orders are any indication of the 2010 Camaro's success, then GM has something good on its hands. It has been reported from sources inside GM that over 10,000 Camaros have been pre-ordered.
I say bring it on! There are plenty of Stangs on the streets to beat up on the over-hyped Camaro.
On an unrelated note, it looks as if the Pontiac G8ST has been cancelled. That was the proposed "don't call it an El Camino" lookalike that was to be brought in from Australia and based on the same platform as the G8.
