As part of the Race Driver: GRID video game launch, eBay Motors and Codemasters allowed enthusiasts/gamers to download a demo of Race Driver: GRID, and participate in a competition to win a Ford Mustang GT-R, worth more than $90,000 in a live competition. In the end, 16-year-old Timothy B. from Gretna, Louisiana drove away with the prize.
The eBay Motors Ford Mustang GT-R was assembled in Northern California by Bodycraft. Modifications include:

- Race inspired side ported exhaust system
