The other day we posted a video of a Lamborghini making dyno pulls on a chassis dyno. It featured a Pro Line-built Lambo engine and Underground Racing was responsible for the tuning and all the work. The exotic ride posted an insane 1,026 rwhp. The shop decided to take it out to the local drag strip and show off its capabilities. WOW, is all I can say. The Lambo blasted to a 10.47 at 139 mph! Crazy.
I am wondering when someone is going to promote a Supercar Shootout with all of these modified exotics. It seems lately that the Viper, Lamborghini, and Ford GT owners are all vying for 1,000 rear wheel horsepower and bragging rights. A quick look at some Internet forums and it appears all of those cars are getting modded with forged wheels (iForged, True Forged, HRE, etc), turbos, and built motors. At MM&FF, we hear of many modified Ford GTs with twin turbos, compound boost, built stroker 5.4-liter motors and all. People are out of control, I love it.
A Supercar Shootout would be fun because you know all of those cars can't hook very well because of the suspension and tire selection. I have a feeling something simple would win, there is a guy here in NJ that had a Viper with a Paxton NOVI blower on board and it ran 10.30s, it was so simple since the Paxton kit is a bolt-on item. Then again, I doubt any of those machines are NHRA legal!
