Are there any new ideas in Hollywood anymore? Death Race hits movie theaters tomorrow (8/22/08) and it seems like more hashed up movies from the past. The storyline, as I understand it, is that a game called Death Race pits prisoners against each in a wild race with heavily armored cars. It is suppose to be a game show. Hmm, sounds a lot like Running Man and then combined with Mad Max!
There is a cool Mustang in there fitted with some neat features like a flame thrower and machine guns. I might not think it is an original idea, but being that it involves fast cars and violence, I will probably head over to the movie theater to check it out on a rainy day.
