AEM is proud to release its Pencil Coil ignition coils in short and long versions for enthusiasts with existing coil-on-plug systems in high-performance applications, as well as users looking to convert their factory distributed ignition to a coil-on-plug setup.
AEM’s Pencil coils deliver intense spark energy for high-performance automotive applications, and work with all standard automotive spark plugs, including threaded-tip style. When combined with an aftermarket capacitive discharge ignition module, the Pencil coils can replace factory coil-on-plug smart coils, or users can combine the Pencil coils with a CDI module and a stand-alone engine management system to convert a vehicle’s distributed ignition system to coil-on-plug. The Pencil coils are two-wire CDI compatible, are available in four- and six-inch lengths, and are sold either individually or in packs of four. Coast Driveline & Gear is excited to announce the release of its innovative Ultra-Light aluminum driveshaft, designed specifically for the 2005-up Ford Mustang. Developed to fill the needs of hardcore racers, the Ultra-Light driveshaft is an easy bolt-on replacement for the heavy and awkward OEM steel driveshaft provided from the factory. This simple driveshaft modification will provide a noticeable performance improvement on any ’05-up Mustang, and is much safer than the stock steel shaft on vehicles with significant horsepower upgrades. The shaft is constructed of tough, lightweight T-6061 aluminum, is supplied with an adapter plate and bolts, and comes fully balanced with Dana Spicer 1330-series U joints. Dyno runs have shown that switching to the Ultra-Light driveshaft shows increases of about 14 horsepower and 16 lbs ft of torque.
