The big keep getting bigger. I thought Whipple's 3.4-liter was more than enough to satisfy the power junkies. After seeing a video on the internet, I guess it wasn't. On the advice of Jared Rosen of Lethal Performance, I checked out this Whipple video on YouTube.
Much to my surprise, it was the company testing a 4.0-liter twin-screw blower. I mean come on! It is crazy. We installed a 3.4-liter unit on our in-house SVT Lightning, The Fridge. It makes stupid power and we were just starting to accept the fact the blower displaces more air than most engines on the road today. Now Whipple goes and works on a larger piece.
Maybe we can shoehorn it on top of our beloved project truck, after all it just received a new JDM Engineering engine. What better way to introduce it to a life of magazine abuse than by stuffing it full of boost from a gigantic blower?
