Danny Thompson, son of legendary racer and tire manufacturer Mickey Thompson, continued the family tradition of motorsports excellence by pushing a 2008 Mustang GT to a scorching 246 mph. It was done on the 40th Anniversary of his dad's historic run in a 1968 Mach 1 Mustang at the Salt.
Paul's High Performance is credited with building the Mustang with engineering and parts support from Ford Racing. The Mustang was powered by E85 fuel and rolled on a set of M/T's Salt Flat tires.
