Alex Vrettos has been running Outlaw Drag Radial with a sweet 1998 Mustang Cobra. This past winter, he had J&E Automotive update the car to 25.2 specs, build a twin turbo system (twin 80mm units), and Vrettos added a 427ci engine to the mix. Two weeks ago, Vrettos qualified number one at Maryland International Raceway during the track's monthly Outlaw Drag Radial race. Vrettos set the World Record for a Radial-Equipped drag car at a scorching 7.38 at 198 mph. The old record was held by David Wolfe of Wolfe Racecraft, which was a 7.41 at 195 mph.
