Last month, I installed a set of Ford Racing GT500 brakes on my daily driver (2007 Mustang GT). You can read all about the install and brake testing in the September 2008 issue of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords Magazine. While cruising one of the many Mustang-oriented message boards out there, I began to participate in a thread about GT500 brakes on S197 Mustangs. One board member warmed me about brake dust. At the time, I only had them for three days and the brakes showed no signs of excessive brake dust. One month later, I take back that comment. Despite cleaning my Stang one or more times a week, the brake dust is ever-so present. I hate brake dust.
