Of all the email and snail mail we get, the most commonly asked question is "how do I get my car in MM&FF." To be honest, it's not as hard as people may think.
Of course, space is limited, since we generally run between four and six features per month. Nevertheless, we welcome you to send us photos of your car for review. Who has the best chance of getting in? There is no single answer to this question because it depends on many factors. It may be we are looking for Mustangs to fit the theme of the issue, or we may just dig your car. In all actuality, there are dozens of other reasons why a car gets selected. What we can tell you is that we like Fords with a story behind them, and/or ones that that are different and stand out from the crowd. A feature car should be special, but at times it can be ordinary, if that's the theme we are looking for. Also, timing is everything. You may have the nicest Stang at the show, but we may have just photographed a car just like it. The best place to catch us is at events. We travel quite a bit and we're always on the hunt for feature cars. Participation is key, but that doesn't mean you have to have an 8-second racer. We love finding quality show Stangs, and serious street stallions, as well. Events are where we really like to find cars, but you can email photos. When doing so, and to give yourself the best chance, take quality photos and only send us a 3-4 examples. Please don't clog our email with 10-20 photos of your car. All we need is a quick look at the body (a front 3/4 angle will do), along with a clear engine shot and an interior shot. Also, include your contact information. We will need your phone number, email and location. Amazingly, many people leave this out.
